Penjabat (Pj) Wali Kota Padang Andree Algamar mengapresiasi pelaksanaan Lomba Malamang se-Kanagarian Limau Manis, Kecamatan Pauh, yang dipusatkan di kawasan Kantor Kerapatan Adat Nagari (KAN) Limau Manis, Senin (23/12/2024).
Lomba Malamang (memasak lemang) yang diikuti para Bundo Kanduang dan Puti Bungsu ini digelar dalam rangka melestarikan adat salingka nagari, khususnya di Kanagarian Limau Manis.
Lemang adalah makanan khas masyarakat Minangkabau yang cara pembuatannya beras ketan disiram santan, dimasukkan ke dalam bambu dan dibakar di atas bara api. Jenisnya antara lain Lamang Puluik, Lamang Pisang, Lamang Kuning serta Lamang Ubi dan lainnya.
“Lomba Malamang ini sangat positif sebagai salah satu tradisi warisan leluhur di Minangkabau. Semoga kegiatan seperti ini terus bisa diselenggarakan, sehingga budaya malamang dapat terus diwarisi ke generasi selanjutnya,” ucap Andree Algamar.
Camat Pauh Titin Masfretin bersama jajaran Pengurus KAN setempat terlihat sumringah, karena acaranya sukses dan mendapat perhatian dari anak nagari. –Rchard
