PADANG—INVESTIGASI, Begitu antusias siswa mengkampanyekan kesadaran akan menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Mereka mempraktikan cara menggosok gigi di kompleks kawasan Adabiah, Selasa (23/4/2024).
Merespon hal itu, Hendri Septa mengapresiasi kegiatan World Oral Health Day (WOHD) yang diinisiasi oleh Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi dan Rumah Sakit Gigi Mulut Universitas Andalas bersama PT Unilever Indonesia yang mengedukasi siswa/siswi se-Kota Padang akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan tubuh.
“Dimulai dari menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut, untuk itu pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan tubuh kita, kesadaran ini yang harus kita tanam,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu Dekan Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Andalas Nila Kusuma menyebutkan dengan kontribusi ini diharapkan dapat memberi edukasi sebagai langkah untuk melahirkan generasi emas di tahun 2045.
“Siap berkolaborasi bersama Pemerintah Kota Padang, bahwa kesehatan gigi akan memperbaiki kesehatan anggota tubuh secara umum,” katanya.
Ditambahkan Head of Profesional Marketing Personal Care Unilever Ratu Mirah Afifah menyebutkan kegiatan ini sebagai bentuk kontribusi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat, sebanyak 30 juta masyarakat Indonesia terutama anak sekolah sudah diedukasi.
“Saat ini 125 ribu pelajar di Kota Padang akan dilibatkan dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut, bukan hanya sekadar menggosok gigi namun kita juga harus datang ke dokter gigi secara teratur. Semoga banyak SDM yang mumpuni di bidang Kedokteran Gigi di Kota Padang,” harapnya.
Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 2.400 siswa SD, SMP, SMA lingkungan kompleks Adabiah, selain itu juga diikuti 125 ribu pelajar SD dan SMP se-Kota Padang melalui zoom. —richard
