PADANG, INVESTIGASI_Cuaa ekstrem mengakibatkan banjir di sejumlah kawasan di Kota Padang, Jumat (10/3/2024), sangat dirasakan warga.
Khusus di Perumnas Indarung, Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan, banjir juga menggenangi pemukiman warga. Karena kondisi itu, warga setempat juga mengalami kesulitan air bersih.
Cepat tanggap atas kondisi yang dialami warga itu, Tim Verry Mulyadi (VM) Center langsung turun ke lapangan membantu warga yang terdampak banjir.
“Tim VM Center dari pagi turun membersihkan rumah warga pascabanjir itu. Tim turun di Perumnas Indarung 3 Jalan Langsat Ujung, RW 6,” sebut Verry Mulyadi.
Ketua DPC Gerindra Kota Padang ini mengatakan, ada sejumlah tim yang turun ke rumah masyarakat. Tim bekerja hingga sore melakukan pembersihan rumah warga yang dimasuki banjir.
“Ini bentuk komitmen kita, untuk tetap peduli ke masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Insya Allah giat sosial dari Tim VM Center ini akan terus berlanjut ke depannya,” tutur penggiat olahraga sepak bola Sumatera Barat ini.
Verry yang dikenal aktif dalam berbagai organisasi ini juga menyebutkan, setelah dilakukan pembersihan, Tim VM Center juga langsung melakukan penyaluran air bersih kepada warga.
“Semoga bantuan air bersih ini dapat meringankan beban warga yang terkena dampak musibah bencana,” tutur Verry.
Ia berharap warga yang terdampak banjir, terutama di seluruh Kota Padang agar tetap sabar dalam menghadapi musibah itu.
“Kami mendoakan agar semua dampak musibah cepat berlalu. Dan diharapkan pemerintah juga terus gerak cepat ke masyarakat,” pungkas Verry. Rel/Jetar
